HealthWise: Free Community Health Screening & Wellness Event

Take charge of your health — for free! Jackson College invites the community to HealthWise, a one-stop event offering valuable health screenings, wellness resources, and activities for all, on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Jackson College’s Central Campus, 2111 Emmons Road, Jackson.

This annual event provides free screenings, opportunities to connect with local health resources, and activities to support healthy living.

FREE Health Screenings & Services Include:

  • Vascular screening – carotid arteries, abdominal aorta measurement*
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG)
  • Glucose screening
  • Vital signs – blood pressure, heart rate
  • Diabetic foot screening
  • Lung health assessment
  • Oral cancer screening*

Additional Activities:

  • Indoor & outdoor campus walk
  • Health & Wellness Expo – connect with local organizations and resources
  • Blood Drive*
  • Raffles, giveaways, and more!

“HealthWise makes it easy and convenient for people to take an active role in their health,” said Sarah Case, Simulation and Innovation Center coordinator and instructor. “Whether it’s receiving a quick screening, learning about wellness resources, or simply enjoying a walk on campus, there’s something for everyone.”
